Mission Statement

Me at a mall

Poetry to the world of languages is like flowers to the world of plants. It exemplifies the elegance, beauty and essence inherent in both. Some poems titillate our intellect, some tap into our emotional wellspring; others fill our mind-eye with vivid imagery, yet others please the sense of the ear with melody of rhymes and some others stroke our heart-string with cadence and rhythms.

Here are some poems I have written over the years. They have all been published before in one form or the other. Since the Internet has become an important medium of choice for sharing information and networking, so here on this website I’d like to share some of my poems with some of the poetry-loving public out there cruising on the Cyberspace Superhighway.

I love all kinds of poetry, ranging from the classical forms to the modern, avant-garde styles. But when it comes to writing poetry, I tend to incline towards poetry with rhymes and rhythms, not in a classical sense, but a free form more dictated by the flow of my spoken thoughts. I call them my prosetry, an amalgam of prose and poetry in its neoclassical sense, with rhymes and rhythms but free from the confine of meters. I also indulge myself in other pursuits, such as short stories and novels. I hope you find them enjoyable reading.

Some may say some of my poems sound more like political or religious poems, but I beg to differ. They are poems with a social heartbeat, to inspire, to instill our civic duties as citizens to the human race at large. If only one person was inspired and made aware, then these poems would have served their only purposes. Hopefully, you will come away as a more tolerant person.

In general, my poems and other writings are just meant to entertain, to inspire and advocate no particular cause or affiliation. They were sometimes the results of thought amplifications and animated feelings infused by my Muse, who occasionally graces my self-imposed writing solitude with her presence. We look at life through various emotional prisms of mind at various stages of our journey on this planet we temporarily called home. My writings posted here reflect that. So don't take them all too literally.

Hope your visit to my site be entertained and inspired!
